Lombok… don’t write it off

As one half of the Big Little Travels team jets off to Lake Garda today I’m still reminiscing about our epic one month trip around Bali, Lombok and the Gili Islands.

Of all the places we stayed, the cheapest accommodation we had was a family friendly resort in Senggigi, Lombok.

We thought it would be an endurance test, but it was anything but… with a gorgeous little beach club attached and Indian Ocean views from pretty much everywhere.

Not only that, there’s zero traffic in Senggigi (except for Sunday’s when the locals are enjoying some time off) and the vibe is super chill.
